About LastPrice.com.ng

LastPrice.com.ng is an independent Nigerian price-history site. We record the prices of 55,683 products from 20 online shops, every day, so that you can see whether a "sale" really is a saving before you buy.

How we record prices

Our own system reads each shop's public product pages, one page every few seconds, and stores the price with the day we saw it. A recorded price is never changed afterwards. We started on 25 September 2026; we make no claim about any price before that date. The newest prices on the site are from 5 October 2026.

We follow each shop's robots.txt and stop reading any shop that asks us to. We do not get around any block, and we collect no personal information from shops' websites.

What "verified" means

A price marked verified is one we saw ourselves, on the shop's own page, on the day shown. We only call something a price drop when we recorded the higher price ourselves. When a shop shows a "was" price that we never saw, we say so, and we label it as the shop's own figure.

How the site is paid for

Today no link on this site earns us anything. We plan to join shops' affiliate programmes. When we do, some links may earn us a small commission from the shop when you buy, at no extra cost to you. It will never change a price we show, a grade we give, or the order in which products appear, and no shop can pay to change what we show about its prices.

Who we are

LastPrice.com.ng is run by Wessel Marx (Marxco) in Cape Town, South Africa. It is part of a small family of price-history sites, one per country, each with its own shops and its own records.
